About Us

Fred is a registered patent attorney with more than 15 years of experience working on intellectual property, business and real estate matters. He graduated with a B.S. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from the University of California, Los Angeles. After working in the medical device industry, he entered Whittier Law School and graduated Cum Laude in 2005.  Prior to graduation, Fred passed United States Patent and Trademark Office’s Patent Bar examination in 2004.  After graduation in 2005, he passed the California State Bar Exam. While in law school, Fred was a member of the Whittier Law Review, Intellectual Law Society and the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.

After law school, Fred worked in-house at Discus Dental, LLC handling intellectual property and business matters, including the acquisition of Discus by Koninklijke Philips N.V. For the next year, Fred worked for Philips before joining several former Discus executives at Den-Mat Holdings, LLC. While at DenMat, Fred continued to handle a wide variety of intellectual property and business matters. In 2016, Fred returned to the Southern California and eventually started LOFT. With LOFT, Fred aims to provide his expertise in intellectual property, business and real estate matters to clients.

While not lawyering, Fred is an avid surfer, scuba diver and world traveler, having visited over 10 countries with more on the horizon. In addition to being a registered patent attorney, he is a licensed real estate agent in the state of California. Fred is a member of the Signal Hill Chamber of Commerce, Bruin Professionals, Orange County Bar Association and the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association.
